SINGLE ORIGINS: Ethiopia Semalo Pride Washed & Natural

At the base of Mount Lato Samalo lies the woman owned Pride Mill Washing Station. The mill employs over 200 individuals who receive, wash, sort, dry and prepare coffees for transport. These coffees were processed in limited quantities and we’re delighted to share this special treat with you.

WASHED TASTING NOTES
Natural silky body with deliciously sweet tones.
Features notes of stone fruit, lemon and mango supported by black tea and vanilla.

NATURAL TASTING NOTES
A decadent cup with a beautifully soft body.
Notes of raspberry, red wine and dark chocolate are present throughout.

WASHED

Fruits are washed, pulped and fermented for 36 – 48 hours. After fermentation, it is washed once more and then dried on raised beds. Drying typically takes 7 – 10 days and is constantly tended to during this time.

NATURAL

The fruit is left on the bean while it dries on raised beds in natural sunlight. After 10 – 14 days of drying, the fruit skin is removed and sent on for processing.
